Tributes have been paid to singer Amy Winehouse, 27, has been found dead at her north London home.

The record's producer Mark Ronson said: "She was my musical soulmate and like a sister to me. This is one of the saddest days of my life."

BBC Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton wrote: "Can not believe the news. Amy was a special girl. The saddest news."

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the cause of Winehouse's death was as yet unexplained.

LONDON – Rupert Murdoch sparred Tuesday with a committee of lawmakers over the phone-hacking scandal that has rocked his global empire, reeling from tough questioning before recovering his composure and rebuffing his interrogators with flashes of his legendary toughness.
The elder Murdoch banged his hands on the table and said the day was the most humble of his life, becoming flustered when committee members peppered with him questions and turning to his son James for some answers.

On Monday, @victoriabeckham posted a picture of Harper Seven (named after Harper Lee from To Kill The Mockingbird and David's lucky jersey number.) "Mummy's little angel! X VB," she wrote alongside a picture of her girl nuzzling into her chest.

WASHINGTON – After Navy SEALs killed Osama bin Laden, the White House released a photo of President Barack Obama and his Cabinet inside the Situation Room, watching the daring raid unfold.
Hidden from view, standing just outside the frame of that now-famous photograph was a career CIA analyst. In the hunt for the world's most-wanted terrorist, there may have been no one more important. His job for nearly a decade was finding the al-Qaida leader.
The analyst was the first to put in writing last summer that the CIA might have a legitimate lead on finding bin Laden. He oversaw the collection of clues that led the agency to a fortified compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. His was among the most confident voices telling Obama that bin Laden was probably behind those walls.
The CIA will not permit him to speak with reporters.
