Akatua kwenye mikono ya wanae, Khaleed na Girbons ambao bila kupoteza muda walianza kutimua naye mbio kuelekea porini.

Qaddafi Forces Fire Cluster Bombs

Military forces loyal to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, who have
surrounded the Libyan city of Misurata and vowed to crush its
anti-Qaddafi rebellion, have been firing into residential
neighborhoods with heavy weapons, including cluster bombs
that have been banned by much of the world and
ground-to-ground rockets, according to the accounts of
witnesses and survivors and physical evidence on the ground.

Such weapons, which strike large areas with a dense
succession of high-explosive munitions, by their nature
cannot be fired precisely, and when fired into populated
areas place civilians at grave risk.

House Passes Compromise Bill Budget

The House passed legislation on Thursday to finance the
federal government for the rest of the fiscal year, the final
House vote in a budget showdown that had threatened to close
down the federal government until an eleventh-hour compromise
was struck late last week.

The vote was 260 to 167, with 59 members of the House
Republican majority and more than half the chamber's
Democratic minority voting against the legislation.

Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio had predicted that the
measure would pass with significant support from both
parties, despite opposition from conservative members of his
own caucus, who said the spending cuts were insufficient, and
from liberal Democrats who called them excessive.

PROTESTER BEATEN TO DEATH IN SOUTH AFRICA

Pictures of the attack on the 33-year-old man by at least six policemen simultaneously, during a service delivery protest at Setsoto, in Ficksburg, eastern Free State, were shown on all SABC news bulletins last night.

The visuals show how the armed policemen cornered Andries Tatane, striking him with their batons and kicking him in an assault that lasted for a few minutes.

Tatane, from Masaleng township, Ficksburg, is seen holding his hand against his chest after the assault. He collapsed about 20 minutes later and died before an ambulance arrived.

N. KOREA SAYS IT IS HOLDING U.S CITIZEN

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea confirmed Thursday that it has arrested an American man for committing an unspecified crime against the country and is preparing to indict him.
The man, named Jun Young Su, has been held since November last year, the North's official Korean Central News Agency said. He is the latest U.S. citizen to be detained in the reclusive communist state in recent years.
North Korea informed Washington about the situation and Jun is being given necessary humanitarian conveniences including consular contact with Swedish Embassy officials in Pyongyang, the news agency said.
